$1,050 towards $1,000

Help me help child abuse victims! It takes bravery to come forward about child abuse, so I can Be Brave and rappel down a 6 story tower.

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal to participate in Over the Edge on June 11, 2022.

I need to raise $1,000 in order to rappel. Make your gift today and share on social media!

Help us pick who should rappel down the edge in honor of helping the Child Advocacy Center.

The officers chosen to represent their respective departments for the department are

Lt. Clair Barnes (Criminal Investigations): Lt. Barnes has been with the UNT Police Department for 2 years. He became a UNT police officer because he felt a connection to the community and wanted to be part of a university agency, which offered a unique niche in the field of policing. Previously a Texas Ranger, he worked with the Children’s Advocacy Center and noted that they are exceptional people doing exceptional work to assist the most vulnerable victims.

Sgt. Nick Brauchle (Field Services and K9): Sgt. Brauchle has been with the UNT Police Department for 8 years. He became a UNT police officer because of the tight-knit and family-like feel of the department, as well as the ability to develop a closer relationship with the community he is serving here at UNT. He knows the Children’s Advocacy Center does important work for families and children and it’s important to help them raise funds because, as a non-profit, they rely on the community’s support.

Cpl. David Causey (Support Services; Community Relations): Cpl. Causey has been with the UNT Police Department for 10 years. Originally a graduate of UNT’s Retail Merchandising program, he became a UNT police officer because he wanted to give back to the community that did so much for him. He wants to bring awareness to the Children’s Advocacy Center’s important mission.

When donating please state which officer you want to pick in the notes section of the donation.

Child sexual abuse occurs in our community every day, with traumatic effects on children and families. Together we can make sure kids get the healing they deserve.

Together we can make a difference!
